Amherst Baseball is excited to continue its collaboration with Rutto Bats for the upcoming season.

Players will once again have the opportunity to purchase custom Amherst Baseball bats, designed specifically for members of the program. Wood bats are fully legal for all Amherst Baseball divisions, although most players choose to use aluminum or composite bats in competition for their increased ‘pop’ and durability. Many kids enjoy, however, the unique feel of hitting with wood on occasion.  Rutto’s bats are high quality and used by professional baseball players, but are still subject to breakage during use. We therefore recommend these be treated as special ‘gift items’ to be used when a kid wants that special old-school feeling and sound that comes from wood striking ball, or for display purposes.

The custom Amherst bats will continue to be available to players throughout the season.
